Simply drill holes in the edge of the window with a 3mm electric drill and tighten the metal sash lock with a Phillips screwdriver. These were an exact replacement for a “Radco” lock that broke on one of my windows. I bought more to put in drawers in case I have more problems. No problem putting them in to replace the broken one. Hole spacing was 2 1/4 inch. The other important part is how far down the lock “tongue” or whatever it is called (tang?) sticks out. If you get one that’s too deep it would not close. You could exchange it or you could just cut or grind it off a little. For me, these were exact so no problems.
