If you are making anything that needs to be outdoors, nothing stands up like stainless steel hardware. There is a patio furniture shop nearby and stainless steel hardware is all they’ll use. I made a porch swing many years ago using stainless steel bolts, washers and nuts. Many years later, the hardware looks almost brand new. If you have ever bought SS hardware, you know it costs a bit more, but in the long run, it is worth the additional price. I give the Hooshing 3/8″-16 stainless steel nuts I received ?????. They appear to be well made and should last. Only some metal tests or the test of time will tell how long they’ll last. They screw easily on bolts without any binding. Thanks for Reading – ???

They do seem well made and are what they say they are. Some big nuts! Threads are sharp and they work fine.

  3. Lynn Keeling

Hex nuts are stainless, correctly threaded to match the bolts I also ordered and should last a lifetime.

These look great and perform perfectly. stainless steel is my favorite material for Minneapolis because I hate putting something together and then coming back a few years later to find it all rusty. Especially good for applications outdoors or in any kind of a wet situation. Also often used on food processing machinery.

As an Amazon “Vine” reviewer I received a pack of 20 3/8″ stainless steel nuts to review. I couldn’t find a price for a 20 pack but the 100 piece pack retails for $16.59, less that 17 cents per nut. Trying going down to your local big box store and see how much 100 3/8″ SS nuts cost. A quick check showed the best big box store price was $11.92 for a box of 25, that’s almost $48 for 100. Now throw in a couple of bucks for gas and don’t forget the aggravation of trying to find the exact item you’re after and you’ll see what a good deal this is. The machining on the pack I received was very good, no rough edges, all clean cuts. I know where I’m shopping if I need any quantity of stainless steel hardware. Highly recommended.

This review is for the Hooshing 1/2″-13 Stainless Hex Nut (100 Pack), Stainless Steel 304. The Stainless Hex Nut appear to be well made and screwed onto the bolts I tried them on easily with a tight fit. The Hex Nut is shiny, and the threading looks impeccable, feels nicely weighted as well. Overall, these seem like fine Hex Nuts that should last from the elements.

Bought these nut to make a roller for my plant

These are stainless steel hex nuts which are good for applications outside and for when they will come into contact with water because the stainless steel nuts will not rust or corrode. These fit our application that we needed stainless steel nuts for. My husband had several projects going on with our boat, these worked perfectly.

They do not pass the magnet test but most stainless steel fasteners do not due to other alloys included. It’s really hard to tell how if and when a fastener will rust and if it will be enough or fast enough to ruin the fastener. In my experience if out in the elements they eventually show signs of rust but not enough to ruin the structure of the fastener but more the look.
