I had a number of window locks around my house that were broken. It was just a matter of the tab being snapped off and I’d kind of put it in the back of my mind, until one day I figured out that the piece I need was inexpensive and easily accessible on Amazon. They arrived, I installed and VOILA! I have locking, secure windows again. One note, I don’t believe I used the screws that came with this product. The original screws were longer, so I kept them.

Only down side is , you have to replace both half’s of the old latch unless you already have this type. Otherwise it’s perfect for the price.
