I had no issues with these at all. Drill a pilot hole instead of trying to use the screw as your drill bit. A little larger than the width of my beam so I will be drilling the other two at an angle. No issues at all with shearing or the screws not fitting through the anchors.

These worked great, but when installing, do not tighten the nuts too much, because the will break. I broke one ane there aren’t any extras in the package to replace the broken screw. But, other than that, they work great.
