These are nice lid supports. They were fairly easy to install and look good. The install instructions could be better and that’s the reason for only for stars. The price was reasonable and shipping was quick. Will come back to this seller in the future.

I used this set of struts to replace the garbage ones that come in an RV. These worked perfectly for holding open the overhead cabinet doors of my 2005 Jayco camper. The door is about 14″ x 30″ and it definitely takes 2 per door to keep it open. Once both struts are clipped into the ball joints there was plenty of hold power.Make sure you have a tiny regular screwdriver. There is a slot in the back of the strut that you pry open with that screwdriver and it helps it pop onto the ball a lot easier.

The original ones were slightly shorter. So, I had to reposition the cabinet end ball. The original ones were a different brand installed in 2007. Not sure when they failed as they are upper cabinets in 12 foot ceiling. It might be a while before I know if these will outlast the originals.

Value great, nice hinge but a royal pain to install. Instructions suck and measurement didn’t line up right. Took my husband hours to figure out exactly where they need to be placed to work properly. Once installed properly they work wonders and do exactly what we needed them for. Were shipped quick and received on time.

Easily lifts and holds 21″ high x 41.5″ wide custom knotty alder cupboard door. Really takes two Der Blue 100N/22.5 lb. gas shocks to hold this door in the raised position. One shock allowed the door to close on its own, but that was easy to test. As many others have said, both shocks were almost impossible to compress by hand, before installation. After installation, I can lift the door with one finger.

Easy installation, great value. Only needed one per door. Cylinders are more than enough to hold a cabinet door open. One of the best and least expensive mods I’ve made to our RV
