Update 4/9/19The struts continue to work beautifully on my chicken coop windows. I live in Minnesota and it gets quite cold during the winter. These struts continue to work no problem! so I decided to buy another set for these storage bench¡®s I made. Love these little guys! See original review below.I use them to prop open windows on my chicken coop. At first I was skeptical they would be strong enough but once installed they work perfectly. Instructions tell you roughly how to measure and install but first I had to convert from mm to inches which is not as precise but I made it work. The end of each strut is a sort of socket which pairs with a ball piece to make a ball and socket joint that each strut hinges on. There is a small metal clip on the strut end/socket that I thought had to be removed to join the ball/socket joint however, I eventually realized they can simply snap together or apart with the clip installed.I¡®ve had these now for several weeks and they keep going strong. They are cheap enough where if one blew I could easily buy more. Also the ball pieces can stay installed so replacing the strut would be very easy.

Haven¡®t had an issue yet. We bought these to install on a toy box. The lid was very heavy and we worried our son would get hurt. 2 of these fixed the issue. One wasn¡®t enough, but 2 work perfect.

Pleasantly Surprised, these are higher quality than what I have in place already on some of my RV doors. Even if they break they were $15 for a pack of four so no way to go wrong. I suspect they will outlast my doors though. We¡®re very easy to install even in tight quarters. The installation was overhead for me but that¡®s my problem.

I needed to replace a worn-out gas strut lift support for a European-style kitchen cabinet door above the microwave that opens at the bottom. Installation was a breeze because I simply used the existing holes from the non-working strut and screwed this new one in… no measuring at all!Although I bought four, one strut easily lifts the door and holds it in place. If I had a complaint, it would be that the strut seems to bind slightly the first time it is opened if the door isn¡®t opened on a regular basis.

Workrd decent for about a year before failing. Installed in our camper vans overhead cabinets and within a year had to swap all of them out when they lost their support and became very easy to open and close.

These hydraulic strut replacements were exactly what I was looking for to replace the worn out ones in my ottoman. My old ones were too weak to keep the lid open. These work great!! They were easy to install. I only used 2 out of the 4 that come in the pack (spares for next time). Highly recommended.

After 15 years, the pneumatic lifts in my European cabinets were sagging, not holding the doors open fully anymore. These were the correct length, with 100N strength instead of the original 80N, but work fine – they will probably loose some strength over time. Easy to install on the existing mounts. Where else can you get four replacement lifts for this price?

I wanted to add struts to my ARB fridge to hold the lid up. It worked out well. I had to measure a few times to get the positioning correct but once dialed in the strut works great! feels strong with the provided hardware and adequate for the loads expected.I would suggest not attaching the metal mounting pivot points to the strut until after drill locations are identified and the working distance of the strut is adequate. you can pry the pivot from the strut if previously inserted, just takes some force and leverage (I used a flat head).I mounted it so that I could make sure the lid would close. it took some trial and error so I mounted the top pivot first, and estimated the closed position of the strut.1 strut was sufficient for the lid. more than enough. save the other 3

4 stars because one of the metal snap clips on one of the ends broke and couldn’t install. Only 3 of the 4 that came with is installed. The metal snap clips were hard to snap onto the ball and needed persuasion to get it in. I would like to have a new end mailed out to me to use all 4 shocks. Untill then, 4 atars
