I use this for kayaking. Though I’ve not gone for a “dunk” with it, it has been splashed quite a bit. When I got it, I put some paper towels in it, closed it up, and dunked it in the kitchen sink and held it under for a while. No leaks whatsoever. As for durability, time will tell. It’s very thick and sturdy and seems like it could stand quite a bit of use and abuse, as long as the abuse is not of the pointy or sharp kind!

This dry bag is everything you need for a great price! I used it for a tubing trip down the river and all my valuables and electronics stayed perfectly dry. Highly recommend!

I have 4 sizes for kayaking and camping. They are Very well constructed. Be sure to read the instructions for folding them down so that they¡¯re water tight and will float should you need it. It just makes somuch sense to start your adventure by packing gear into these Earth Bags. Sudden weather changes become a non issue. The included water proof cell phone holder works really well. I put a piece of Bounty Towel inside the case, submerged it for 30 minutes by filling the kitchen sink with water and placing a plate on top (otherwise the case will float to the surface) the towel was perfectly dry when removed. Not even a hint of moisture inside. Two great products. Highly recommend.

I bought this for a recent trip to Hawaii. I wanted a good dry bag to keep our belongings free of water and sand from the beach. This bag did the trick and kept everything dry and sand free. After our trip I am giving it to my husband to use when he goes out on his kayak.

Bought the 30L to keep (1)towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, clothes, hats for 2 adults contained and dry on a wet dive boat. size was about right. Roll down top is successful seal though pack was never submerged. Backpack straps nice carry feature. Easy to get in and out of between dives.

I bought this waterproof dry bag to protect my camera during a recent trip to Alaska where I knew it would rain and because I was going to be in a rainforest and on the water. Instead of using this as a standalone waterproof bag, I used it as a liner inside a Gonex packable daypack. This allowed me to carry things separately in the daypack that didn’t need protecting and to get to them more quickly while still protecting stuff that did need it. I packed this flat on the bottom of my suitcase so that it took up almost no room at all. That said, it is still surprisingly heavy for its size because of its thick rubberized material. When I first opened the box, I feared that this would be too big for what I wanted; however, you need to fold down the top 3-4 times and clip it shut, making it much smaller than it looks at first. It’s not small or lightweight, but it fit a Panasonic Lumix, passport, and small binoculars with room leftover. It worked perfectly to keep my things dry. Even when I (stupidly) placed my daypack at the bottom of a boat, thus soaking it, everything in the dry bag was, well, dry. This comes with a nylon strap for carrying on its own, and a waterproof phone sleeve with a lanyard that I didn’t use.Although I have no idea how well this would have worked if I had ended up in the water, it was good enough to protect my things from the elements.– Debbie Lee Wesselmann

Not the best but far from the worst

I have taken it on several scuba diving trips and this bag is great. Keeps water out and clothes and towels dry inside. Dripping water from scuba gear and wet decks on charter boats are no match. Plenty of space in the 20L. Highly recommend if you are around the water a lot.
