The shelf brackets were as expected. I used them to install reclaimed barn wood planks, 2 in x 8 in full measurement. The brackets are 5mm and that equates to just under 1/4″. They are heavy and can take a good load. I used a screw type butter-fly molly bolts where I could not find a stud. The brackets also have a bottom hole and screws so you can tack the shelf to the bracket, preventing it from toppling. Its a good buy! Very satisfied.

I used these to mount “floating shelves” as I was doubtful the plasterboard would hold them otherwise with only two screws. They worked a treat and are almost invisible as I attached them with the wall side going up behind the shelves. I would definitely recommend and will use again for similar projects
