I put these on a floor cabinet that the cat kept prying open and dumping stuff on the floor. They worked; he can¡¯t get in; although he still tries.. Ha ha¡.They appear solid enough for light to medium doors. They¡¯re plastic; so I don¡¯t think I¡¯d recommend them for heavier doors. You can stick them on with their adhesive pads, but I screwed them in. I don¡¯t know if the adhesive would stand up to repeated use.
