I¡¯ve used soss style hinges for years. None of them are easy to install and these aren¡¯t an exception. However these seemed to work very well for my project. I used these on a ¡°hidden¡± gun room door and had no problems. I will that if you really need them to handle a max load I would go with the original. You will pay a lot more however. Great product for the price.

They work great. I made a jig for my router and installed 2 in each cabinet door. The doors are 3/4¡± MDF 72¡±x15¡± and they are working great.

These hidden hinges would’ve worked easily if I’d had some way to cut out where I needed them to go but I did it with a drill bit, chisel, and a razor. Anyway. The secret Book case I built looks great.
