I bought these because I wanted to be able to joint 2×4 and 2×6 dimensional lumber to build cheap sturdy furniture for my kids and so far they are working great. The vertical ones are worth the extra money especially if you have a jobsite table saw like a Dewalt 745 because there’s not a lot of room to have a wide sled. Because the toggles are clamped when vertical you can have a fairly narrow sled without worrying about the the toggles running into the table saw fence.I’m probably going to pickup another pair of these to build a sled that is better setup to joint 3/4″ material instead of 1-1/2 inch dimensional lumber.

This is a nifty thing to have. I guess most people use these as some sort of vice or work holder but I bought two to use as a door latch for a metal shed door that was always slipping open a bit. I attached them to the door so that when the door is closed this toggle pulls the door back against the top wall and secures the door tight. It is adjustable so that the rubber stop and bar can be moved further or closer to the piece it is attached against. These things are well made and look like they should last forever. They work great and I highly recommend. Hope this helps.
