We just remodeled our kitchen. We needed to figure out how to lock our broom closet with our cleaning supplies, in order to stay in compliance with our foster care license. This lock was perfect for the job. I wanted something small that would fit in our decor. I installed this myself and in no way am I a DIYer. The instructions were easy to understand. The placement sticker made it even easier to install.

This is a good luck to have and I actually bought this for my shed to lock it and keep things out of it. The thing about it is that setting the combination is not the easiest but it is doable. I do love the fact that it comes with a guide and that the screws are already measured out so you know which ones go to which side. I also like that these do appear to be durable and so far I’m pleased with it and I am happy I don’t have to worry about those in the upcoming months because bears tend to get into our shed and a lock is exactly what I needed.

This is a great hasp/lock combo. It’s really well made, materials are good, finish is excellent enough to look right at home in the house, though I put it on the side door of my barn to replace an older hasp and padlock.I think the quality is quite good and I appreciated that they include a stencil so you can pre-drill holes for it and not have to worry about not getting it installed just right.I only have 2 issues with it. First, my eyesight is not as good as it used to be and while the numbers are okay with glasses on, I sure wish they had made them larger so I could work it without having to drag glasses out of my pocket. Second, the integrity of any hasp depends on the screws used to install it. If you’re putting it into a cement surface the anchor/screws will be fine, but if you’re putting in on a wood surface, you might want to upgrade to a larger and longer screw than the little ones they include. It wouldn’t take much effort with a crowbar to rip those screws out. In fact, if you want to take it a bit further and can access the rear of the panel this is attached to, make a little metal backing plate and then use a bolt and nut to fasten it place.In any case, the unit itself is good looking, made well and works well.
