This lock was easy to install on my double door (ban type) shed. The lock code was easy to set up and it fits and works perfectly. Definitely a great lock to buy for your your shed!

The lock is nice looking and is cleverly designed. It is easy to install and comes with a nice template to make mounting it easy.BUT, for the life of me, I do not understand why these manufactures do not include instructions with their products. No, I didn’t miss them as I unpacked the lock. I searched… nothing. Because you need the combination to install the lock, I had to guess at the sequence. Fortunately, I noticed it came with a small wire “key” used to change the combination. So, I figured the combination was all zeros. After that, I could install the lock and I also figured out how to change the combination. Still, I should not have to figure out, nor guess. I wouldn’t usually drop a star for no instructions, but in this case, they are important and them not being included is a problem. FYI, press the key into the hole on the side, keep pressure on it, set your new combination, release the pressure. At least that worked when I did it.Pro: Clean, clever design. Easy to install. We have package lockers outside some of our rental homes, and when we first built these lockers, we installed a simple hasp and put an inexpensive small combo lock on it (see second photo). We assumed that would stop porch pirates, since they wouldn’t be able to see if a package was there, and just move on to an easier target. But apparently the crooks in our area felt the package lockers were too much temptation – we had one come with a bolt cutter and snip off the lock, and another picked up a rock and smashed at the lock and hasp until it broke open. In both cases there was nothing inside – but clearly this was something we needed to re-think.What is great about this lock is the only way to get to the screws is by opening the lock. They are hidden behind the clasp. It’s also has a very nice heavy duty feel to it. When you turn the knob is has a satisfying click that feels very solid. It’s a combo lock when you can easily change the combination – which is great since we will do that whenever the tenants change. We also purchased special screws for the outside hinges on the door that require a special drill head for removal. ?? this stops future issues!

This combo lock is good for things like cabinet doors or maybe shed doors. The applications are limited to the door opening type, but it does work fine for the doors that slide or pull open, provided there is a place to mount it. Also the screws limit it to a lower level of security than I was hoping for.The metal parts and combination lock mechanism are both well made. Feeling solid and not cheap.There is a guide for installing the screws that matches the mount points very well. It made for an easy installation. I do think the included screws are pretty short and you may want to find longer screws for certain applications. For cabinet doors, the included are fine. But for my shed, they are too short to really feel like I’ve added much real security.Also, it was disappointing that there were no real combination setting instructions. Mine was set to all zero’s. So I had to figure out how to use the tool that came with the unit to set a new combo. I found pushing the included pin/tool into the small opening, pressing and holding, set the new numbers, and release – worked for me.It’s a nice lock, but somewhat limited in how much security it can provide as well as where it can be installed.

This little “slap lock” is perfect for a clean look and functional design.It IS however really only a simple shed doors or a as storage cabinet lock.With nothing worth over $50 stored.Don’t expect this to stop anyone with a claw tool or hammer.

Recently I had my neighbor tresspass through my side door by unscrewing the easily accesible bolts. The latch is stronger in material than this. What this has an advtage is that the screws can only be accessed when they are open. The metal plate is soft, and bendy. This is good to just add on to the damages made. They provided 2 glues? Made in Germany? And auxilary tapes (4). The manual didn’t clearly specified what they are for.
