Wonderful value for 2 pair of gloves. One is medium and one large; they tend to run a little small. Excellent protection (5 rating) while cutting, and very comfortable. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I haven¡¯t tried it for heat resistance, but as far as keeping me from cutting myself on my mandolin it has saved me a few times. It doesn¡¯t seem like the material would protect you, but it has so far.

they are not a substitute for real oven mitts or silicone grippers for typical oven temperatures. They are very good for the intended use, cut prevention. If users are careful, these gloves will prevent the occasional nicks and cuts that one gets when not using any cut protection. Especially recommended for handling knives, graters, mandolins, and food processor blades if a person has a history of accidental cuts… or just to be safe if not a pro using sharp utensils. I normally use a large sized glove which goes on comfortably, but this medium glove will fit with a little effort AND it does feel like I have more control (and protection) when using a grater or mandolin.

I started cooking with my wife when I retired. I got cut once and since then I use one onMy left hand when I cut meat or vegi¡¯s. They work great. I ordered a second set because after a while the first set got stained from use and I had them awhile. Easy to clean put them in wash with your cloths.
