I’m sure there are projects that will need a higher degree of accuracy, I use these to measure parts to 3D print. I allow for .5mm tolerances, and these are excellent. Some plastic on it makes me feel as though I’ll have to replace them “some day” but that day feels far off.

Device works as intended. Don¡®t confuse this device with one that is highly precise and five times the price. But for measuring hole diameters, pin diameters, and material thicknesses for the average person, this product is great.

I work as a transmission rebuilder and so I needed a digital caliper for work. That being said I went to the tool truck (Mac Tools) and got a set from them because it came with a micrometer. That being said I thought to myself, “You know…if I dropped these i have to wait a week for a new one…..” So I looked around, watched some videos and came across this brand and said why not. Honest though, I’m super impressed feels good in the hands, and measured just as accurate as my set from mac to the point I felt kind of upset spending 120 off the tool truck. That being said if I had ANYTHING negative to say is that it isn’t as smooth when opening the jaws but that’s really just nit picking, and lastly I wish this brand had a dial version I could buy.

First thing you notice is this tool has some weight to it. It feels good in your hand, the adjustment wheel is as smooth as the south end of a north bound baby. High quality materials and accurate. Glad I chose this one.

It arrived last evening and I put it to use in the shop this morning. I took a bit of time to compare it to my other tools (calipers, micrometers, DRO, etc.) and found it to be every bit as accurate as anything else in my shop. I like the weight of this tool. It functions smoothly, returns to zero accurately, is easy to read and has that added feature providing fractional displays that is handy when I may want to work in even measurements in fractions of an inch that don’t require a accuracy down to the third decimal point. If I could change any feature on it I would find a method for changing the battery that does not require removing a phillips head screw. It’s not a big issue, the proper size screw driver is included, but it does take time and risks my losing the screw among the clutter that often visits upon my workbench. The plastic case is rugged but is held closed with two plastic “flapper” hinged latches that will certainly fail in time. I will install a flush mounted magnetic latch to replace those. Overall, this tool is well worth the price I paid for it and I would recommend it without hesitation.
