Awesome tool I have looked at it in the past and put it on a list. Well I got it for a car I was working on and it worked perfectly. No more trying to connect two combination wrenches together and hoping they don’t slip.

How many times I needed a great tool like this. Many times you can only get an open end wrench on something and always difficult to tighten sufficiently. What a great tool. Everyone who works on car’s should have one of these.

  4. R. Ploude –

The wrench extender came in a small box with an illustrated instruction sheet and a warranty card. Seldom seen on a warranty card, it included an email address with a message asking the purchaser to report any issue with the tool to the company. As robust as the wrench extender is, I don¡¯t see myself having a warranty need, but it gives me confidence in the tool¡¯s build quality. In use, the wrench extender worked better with larger wrenches. I tried it with a 10mm open-end box wrench. It engulfed the handle and allowed the wrench to twist in its grasp. Fortunately, except for rusted nuts and bolts, I seldom need the level of torque a wrench extender makes possible with smaller-sized box wrenches.A wrench extender is a handy adjunct tool to have for those times when a socketed breaker bar won’t fit and only a box wrench will do.

  5. T2000KW –

I tried this on one of my larger open end wrenches, and it fit the thicker wrench, so unless your wrench is much thicker than most, this should do the trick. Keep in mind that it will tighten from the top. To loosen, you need to turn it around so that the socket is on the bottom.

I am putting headers on my 75 Dodge truck. The hardest part of that job is getting the old exhaust manifold bolts off – and to get them off without snapping them off. 47 years of hot/cold cycles, exposure to the elements, and rust make it a tough job. I got this in the mail last week, just in time to put it to use. So, after liberally spraying the bolts with Penetrating Blaster and waiting a few hours for it to work, I gave it a try. My first attempt was with a 1/2 drive ratchet… no bueno.I have a 30-inch 1/2 inch drive breaker bar, but I didn’t want to over torque the bolt and almost certainly snap it off, so I sprayed a bit more PB on the nut and gave it a shot with this wrench extender. It was just the right tool. I put a wrench in the tool, hooked it with another wrench and it started to move. I got the ratchet back on the bolt and it came right off. One down, 11 more to go!I don’t think I will be using this very often, but in the right circumstance, it is very handy. I have a collection of 70s and 80s era cars and trucks, so having rusty, stubborn bolts is not all that unusual for me!

  7. Sam –

This tool is one of those that you don’t really think about until you get in a bind and need to double wrench. So far I’ve only used it once, but boy let me tell you it surely came in handy! It’s not terribly often that situations arise where you need something like this, but when you do you’ll be glad to have this in your collection.

  8. Colorado Mechanic –

When you need this you’ll be glad you have it in your box!

  9. Marcus L. –

I’m a heavy equipment mechanic. Struggle with botls in tight places. This tool is amazing. Time saving for sure!

  10. Michael W. Oliver –

This is a game changer tool, full stop. The ability to use a breaker bar, with plenty of length for leverage and a comfortable handle, rather than hooking open-end to box-end for leverage, is huge and will forever change the habits of anyone who owns one of these tools. You look at something like this and wonder why nobody (including yourself) never thought of this ages ago. As long as you pay attention to keeping your extension (breaker bar, ratchet, second wrench, etc.) in line with the main wrench then you’ll have no problem exerting enough force to break bolts which is why I only use this for loosening stuck, corroded fasteners. If you use this for tightening then be cautious, you’ll break ’em off before you know it!
