The safety design prevents children from accidentally opening the lock and prevents ordinary theft. The left and right sides can be used interchangeably.
Note:
Measurements required to replace crescent lock:
1. If you do not want to re-open the holes, please confirm that the screw hole spacing is 46-50mm/1.8-1.9in
2. If you do not want to replace the hook, please confirm whether the hook extension length (23mm/0.9in) can be connected with the lock.
3. The distance from the central axis of the lock to the edge of the crescent is 20.5mm/0.8, and confirm whether the turntable can catch the hook.

Lighter weight than I expected for the money, but went smoothly to replace the broken one. Ordered 2 the same, and was shipped one vinyl window latch and the wooden window latch we ordered 2 of. A bit disappointed that the order got filled wrong. Need to send other back and order one more wood window latch.
