I have a bunch of clamps from different brands but I never had a Tekton brand clamp before. The price looked good, so I thought I’d try them. They work, but I don’t think I’ll use them much. My Bessey and Irwin and Jorgensen clamps work better. One of those cases where you get what you pay for, I guess.

Great priced clamps. I am very pleased with the durability for the price. I will for sure be purchasing 4 more of these In the very near future. Great value for the money.

These don’t do so hot when used in tandem with a jig-saw. The vibration of the saw blade literally shook them loose from the guide I had clamped down, causing my cut to veer drunkenly from the path I was aiming for. Admittedly, I am complete garbage with a jig-saw, but the clamps were supposed to help that a bit. They’re still pretty great though.

Well made, works as it should. I’ve seen sturdier clamps, but not at this price. I’ve seen cheaper clamps, but they weren’t this well built. Overall, a nice balance between price and performance. Good for the weekend do-it-yourselfer, but if you make furniture for a living, you might want a better one. The jaws worked smoothly, and are reversible so it can be used both as a clamp or a spreader.

Bought two of these clamps because of their price point compared to other brands at the same length. I am quite happy with their performance. They feel strong and have a little bit of weight to them. When I first got them, they were quite hard to release the clamp. However, after several uses they became a lot easier to release. For the price, construction of the clamp, and the overall feel, I would recommend these to others. I plan on purchasing more of these particular size and an array of other.Tekton will be getting more of due to these clamps and other misc. tools that I have purchased from them.

I got these as a add on to my order. I’m so glad I did as I didn’t realize I would soon be putting them to the test. I had a wood project where I needed to glue up some small wood pieces and my normal size clamps would be too big for the job. These were just what I needed and they look solidly made. I think I’ll be getting more as they are easy to manipulate and gave a strong hold and stayed put. Good price too!

This a good a sturdy little quik clamp. It is the size of the Irwin micro clamp for comparison but wih a 6″ opening. Works real well on little projects. It is not cheaply made as others I looked at of that size. I have bought other equipment from this manufacturer and have not been let down. If you didn’t notice they offer a lifetime warranty for manufacturer failure. That is also a plus if a company is going to put thier rep on the line by giving you a long term commitment like that.

This worked well for my purposes, which was to spread the base of my new Aeromach motorcycle highway bar enough to mount it on my Indian motorcycle. The highway bar is basically 1.5″ metal tube kind of shaped like an arrowhead or a spade. The base of bar has to be spread apart enough to land on the mounts near the floorboards so it can be bolted down at each end, which required that the base be spread apart almost 2″ from its resting position. It was impossible to spread it enough by hand, even with a friend helping out. I found this tool on Amazon and it did the trick. I was briefly concerned that it would not work, as there is not a huge amount of torque available on the handle that drags the spreader across the bar, but with a firm effort on the last squeeze, it was enough – the bar was spread enough and slid easily over the mounts. There’s little metal plugs on the ends of the bar that apparently are meant to serve as stoppers but serve no purpose but to get in your way – one of them fell out, and I knocked the other one out. Then remove and reverse the end clamp (the one without the handle) to turn it into a spreader, and off you go. Overall – good tool. Definitely multi-purpose. I’m satisfied. Only thing I’d criticize is the alleged pounds rating of the spreader vs the actual torque available on the handle, but any discount price tool pushed to alleged manufacturer specs will probably break in the end, so just know that this thing has limits and you’re good to go.

It is great to have a bar clamp to help assemble cabinets. The problem is the release button is small and very hard to press and release..

Does its job fairly well. Clamps and holds nicely however there is a but. Two small issues encountered while working on my last project. 1.) the pad on the stationary jaw comes off ridiculously easy. Not yet a big concern but it could become one. If the pad slides off while attempting to clamp a finished product there could be scratches or gouges. Hasn’t happened yet so I’ll just watch out for it. 2.) The release button and mechanism are a little hairy first the location of the release button is convenient for use with your thumb but too convenient and it’s s little jumpy. Slight applied pressure accidentally or otherwise will completly release and will not gradually release. In conclusion it does its job but I think I’ll personally stick with my Irwin clamps.
